How The Computer Affects Your Health

Marketers rarely talk about how the computer affects your health… why?

We all know computers are here to stay and there’s plenty of money to be made with them, so I’ll ask the underlying question marketers are avoiding like the plague.

Does overuse of the computer cause serious health issues?

If this question hasn’t popped up in that brain of yours, then you’re probably not working your fingers to the bones like most internet marketers.

You see… most marketers are taking the Herculean approach to building  an online business and totally ignoring the repercussions associated with long hours of computer usage.

And guess what?

Your job Is Not Concerned about your health, nor are the people selling you the latest greatest course on how to make a boat load of money.  You must take it upon yourself to monitor your time spent on the computer, and stop busting your chops to meet deadlines and make money at all cost.

Or maybe you’re the guy or gal hanging out on social networks all night with family and friends;  Yes… this also applies to you.

I know firsthand how captivating the internet can be, but proper time management can help prevent or prolong computer related health issues.

This is one reason why we focus on being productive with our online activities.  You see… we truly believe in working less and living more.

Enough small talk — if you find yourself having:

  • fatigue and poor circulation, incorporate an exercise plan into your weekly routine.
  • blurred vision or dry itchy eyes, take 15 minute breaks every hour.
  • headaches and migraines quite often, stop immediately and finish your work at a later time.
  • aches in your fingers and wrist, make a doctors appoint to check for carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • back and neck pains, check your seating and posture.

I’m not a physician, so use common sense in accessing some of the minor health related issues.

Furthermore… lack of physical social intervention isn’t healthy either, so do yourself a favor and interact with other humans.

Also, studies have shown “Toxic Dust” to be found on processors and monitors containing chemicals linked to reproductive and neurological disorders.

Now… I hadn’t heard of  “Toxic Dust” prior to writing this article, but it sounds alarming enough to do further research.

Especially, if you work with a laptop that’s constantly sitting in your lap.

Like I mentioned earlier, I’m not a doctor so do your own research on how the computer affects your health, and be mindful of  the fact that computer addiction is no different than drug and alcohol addiction.   If you abuse it, there will be side affects.
